breakfast of champeens, plus too skein-y!
Because everyone knows leftover pumpkin pie- or pie of any kind for that matter- makes the best breakfast-
(And plus, its made with Equal, by Lorie, so I could have something not so sugary- thanks Lorie!)
Oh, Thanksgiving was lovely in the company of family and friends- and especially one niece, my one and only, you know her, you love her-
Lucy! Because you just can't be uncheered when she is around!
And I confess all of my photos ended up being of her because grown-ups well, some of us, are weird about having cameras thrust in our faces- at least this is my feeling. So I try to spare the adults- Lu, on the other hand, still thinks its fun. And if she doesn't, she can't say!
But I don't think she minds too much, as she carries on in her inimitable fashion-
and is a sport!
Lu and her Grandma got to hang quite a bit and catch up on things-
And plus, we were joined by Mara, Lucy's nanny, and Alex, Mara's husband, and got to quiz them about Romanian holiday customs and other things Romanian, and they kindly indulged us. Lu was pleased to sit on Mara's lap and be fed a bit of pumpkin cheesecake- although she wasn't sure about the cheesecake.
In general, a good time was had by all!

Oh plus! It snowed yesterday!
I took this kind of early- things actually got a little bit white out there and some stuck around for a while.
And the water in my watering can froze- luckily I dismantled what was left of the garden last week, and the pots are safely away for the winter!
Of course now that there is frantic holiday knitting to be done, my thoughts turn to socks-
Oh yes, the Too Skein-y, Tuscany, which, I discovered through knitting a couple of gauge swatches (its true! Swatching. Me.) knits up really beautifully.
Marcel just wants to eat it when I'm not looking-
And plus its not really as exciting as longtime friend Carrot-
a fact, Marcel says. I am unconvinced.
I was invited to have a taste. I politely declined.
