my little hammer
Here is Marcel striking a handsome pose for Mr.Goddamn Sunshine.

Yesterday on the internet I stumbled across the fact that the name Marcel apparently means something like "small hammer." It seems fitting, doesn't it? Especially in light of our association with a man who's hammer is employed daily!!! I think you know who we mean!
Mr. Goddamn Sunshine recently experienced a curious apparation at work- avert your eyes, sensitive viewers, or not, because it might just be Jesus-

Jesus? The Virgin of Guadalupe? Something else entirely?? You decide!!
In any event, the knot in question has been buried inside the finished project, a pergola (little trellis roof thingy) which must make it lucky, I think! Or at least it bodes well.
Here is the finished project, of which we are immensely proud for our boy~

In the foreground is the official stealth carpentry vehicle of Goddamn Sunshine Builders.
The homeowners too, were immensely pleased. Always a good thing! So we congratulate Mr. Goddamn Sunshine on a job well done.
This is what became of my sock swatch. I decided that while I was experimenting, I would try out a little embroidery,

I'm thinking more embroidery. It might be my new thing. In the meantime, I still have the purple sweater for Caroline Helpy-Chalk to get finished before the child starts college.
And plus, it should be much easier to deliver, now that the Helpy-Chalks are inching their way closer to Chicago. Congratulations are also in order here- Rob has a new job! We are so pleased for him!
