some stuff I love
1.) Well, obviously, Lucy. Because if you see the cheeks there is not much else you can do. Omg. The cuteness is acute! Its a fact.
2.) Le verbe en français, j'adore, aussi! C'est vrai!
Tonight is my Frenchie lesson, and thus I have been busy conjugating to avoid humiliation~! Like last week, when my plea of "je n'ai pas compris!" failed to arouse the least sympathy from our intrepid instructor, who often seems on the very edge of containing her impatience with us. "Zerre is nothing to understand!" She replied, in English. Le verbe etre! It...ow do you say eet??? Kicked my ass!
Well, I didn't study because I was a loser, but tonight, look out, madames et monsieurs, I got my verbs on. Ok, kind of.
I also love the dialogues on our Frenchie CD, in particular one where people order breakfast. That's because I love to say (and some of you already know this) "avec de la confiture". I also love to say pamplemousse. Who doesn't?? That's the thing.
3.) Mr. Goddamn Sunshine's birthday was yesterday and I love that he actually likes and intends to wear the hat- from Last Minute Knitted Gifts, except I made it well in advance! Believe it!- I made him, the earflap version, which I made with some verigated Manos. And plus you have to trust me on this, he couldn't look more devastatingly handsome. Especially toting the Man Sized Extra Large 2 quart stainless steel thermos bottle I risked life and limb on my bicycle in the Target parking lot to get for him! Oh, I can't find a good link for it but believe me, its impressive, as well as functional! And holds almost enough coffee.
4.) Trekking XXL. I'm making socks with it right now. Yum.
5.) Eggheads, especially when they make mention of Duchamp! Magazine ("a review of culture high and low"!- someday I will publish it again! Really!!!)
6.) Riding into the city on the South Shore train early in the morning when the sky is still lavender and I am half asleep.
7.) Sugar-free vanilla pudding.
p.s. Happy Halloweiner!
