nothin but a dawg a log

Its definitely fall in Dawn's garden, and everywhere else. Oh my.
Marcel is digging the cooler weather, as it works better for his constitution. Being a dogue with a short nose one has to work extra hard to cool oneself.

Now a smushy-faced dawg can stroll in the garden in a much more dignified fashion. Oh yes.

Has anyone else noticed the squirrels are in a heightened state of lunacy lately? On three seperate occasions, they have seen me coming, paused, then plunged into the path of my bike wheels. Do you think its seasonal depressive disorder setting in? Or was it the full moon a couple of days ago that was driving them mad? I'm not sure. At least one then cursed me and my conveyance for trying to kill him on purpose. Squirrels are furry little freaks.
Speaking of which.

Marcel. Who is pretty indifferent to squirrels, and varmints in general, especially when he is in his favorite spot, in my lap in the garden. And despite the fact that his kind were bred for rat-catching. Believe it! Its true! You can't really tell from these pictures, but the Big Dawg is back home and Marcel couldn't be more pleased.
And can that be me without a head, just in time for Halloween? I was going to go as a unicorn, but this is way more scary and convenient.

I'm not sure what concept I am illustrating to John with my hands in this one. I think Marcel is getting ready to yawn.

Here is the other thing about Boston Terriers.
Their handsome looks have inspired many cast iron doorstops.
John saw this one in a Michigan antique store.

And plus, here is a trivia factoid from the Gerald Ford Museum, (oh yes its out there)~
young Gerry didn't have many friends since his mom dressed him funny, but he did have

Squirrels still hoard food frantically and fatten up during the fall, even though few actually hibernate, or even reduce their activity, once the snow comes.

I, personally, plan to reduce activity, but not truly hibernate.
