inspirational quotation

I came across this online today and I thought I would share~

The bicycle is the most civilized conveyance known to man. Other forms of transport grow daily more nightmarish. Only the bicycle remains pure in heart.

-- Iris Murdoch, The Red and the Green

You've quoted one of my all time favorite authors, although I don't remember reading The Red and the Green. I remember The Sea, The Sea the best and the last one I read was The message to the planet. Last week at a farmer's market I saw someone riding one of those reclining bicycles. I was very curious about how it would feel to ride one. It was very low to the ground and I think you would feel peculiar and not be seen very well by cars sometimes.
