un petite peu!!
More proof that there is still a magical undiscovered world. Why do we sit in front of these screens and argue about swift boat veterans and whatnot? Will we be discovered one day and considered to be a boring race of lumpy, neurotic, low-browed people whose brains were big but easily manipulated? A cynical race of the uninspired and self-defeating, will our bones reveal us slouching in front of Fox News? Anyway, its worth clicking here to see more! And for those Knit-A-Log readers with Real Jobs (not something this author knows anything about) and little time for clicking and reading, here is a synopsis~
The bones of a race of Lilliputian cave people were found in Indonesia, on an island called Flores, and are considered to be their own species, Homo floresiensis. They are believed to be a cousin of Homo erectus (heh heh) and they were around until 13,000 years ago. Here is a quote from the article in the NY Times
"The Indonesian island of Flores is very isolated and, before modern times, was inhabited only by a select group of animals that managed to reach it. These then became subject to unusual evolutionary forces that propelled some toward giantism and reduced the size of others.
The carnivorous lizards that reached Flores, perhaps on natural rafts, became giant-size and still survive, though now they are confined mostly to the nearby island of Komodo; they are called Komodo dragons. Elephants, because of their buoyancy, are surprisingly good swimmers; those that reached Flores evolved to a dwarf form the size of an ox."
I want clones of dwarf elephants!! Anyway.
The Floof is coming along, I am hoping it will be wearable soon.
Ugh I have to go to work today. Blargh. I would much rather hunt giant rats.

Once the cover comes off the magic falls out faster than the stream from an upside-down horseshoe. Space becomes Fox News, time becomes money. Which is not always a bad thing (determinism, place), but it certainly isn't the only thing.
